fishing report

I hit the salt 4 times this last week. The resident coho are starting to show and have fattened up! This fish Gary caught was one of the smaller we saw.

I did not realize this was a blackmouth until I saw the picture! It was so dark out, all I saw was the adipose fin and realized it was a wild fish so I got him back in the water quickly. The Coho were on the bite right at dark as well.

Clint fishing a beach early morning. Fishing at Sunrise is a whole lot easier in the Fall than in Summer! We were on the water by 5:30am but it might has well been 10am!

Apologies

The blog posts have been pretty thin the last two months, sorry about that! I've been busy with so many things. I've been gone 3 weeks and just returned from Vancouver, BC (unfortunately I did not get to fish during that time). Awaiting my return were several orders for some of my flies so I have been a tying machine.
As I'm tying up some of these flies I'll take pics for some tutorials to come. Below is a pic of one of the orders half completed. Whew!

Coming up in the next few weeks: Eggabou fly tutorial, Blake's stinger bunny leech tutorial, fishing report from upcoming trip to Bend, Oregon area, saltwater fishing reports, and gear reviews.
